Why Moving to Del Sur is a Good Idea
Thinking of where to relocate to, and preferably somewhere in California? Del Sur is one of the best places to move to. Though the whole relocation process is daunting and may seem like a formidable task, this may indicate a new chapter in life for you — for you to get a fresh start in a new neighborhood. Read on to find out more why you should relocate to the dream city, Del Sur!
Located in California, Del Sur is one of the two affluent, strategized communities part of Black Mountain Ranch, that puts heavy emphasis on the importance of going green. The neighborhood is family-friendly and is a close-knit community, which provides a conducive environment to start teaching the kids on sustainability practices from young. Residents here visit the numerous community parks, enjoy brisk walking on walking trails, and participate in community events to pass their time.
Residents can take advantage of the freeways that are in close vicinity, which connects them to downtown San Diego, iconic attractions in North County, and the pristine beaches in Del Mar, Solana Beach, and Encinitas. Furthermore, the town is equipped with amenities for recreational activities like country clubs, shopping centers, equestrian centers and many more! The heightened convenience that Del Sur offers makes for an idyllic place for families who enjoy outdoor activities to reside in.
Housing in Del Sur
Del Sur is actually a relatively newer neighborhood compared to its counterparts. The Black Mountain Rach Subarea development plan was given the green light by the San Diego City Council and San Diego voters in 1998, and the first few residential properties in the Del Sur and Santauz developments were sold in 2003. That being said, the houses that are already built-in Del Sur are very modern and well-maintained.
Most of the nine neighborhoods being planned out in Del Sur are mostly already settled in by residents, while the others are still in the development process with their model houses open for viewing. Some of these neighborhoods are branched out into smaller sub-communities, resulting in about 15 small neighborhoods, including Bridgewallk, Pasado, Kensington and many more. Due to the many communities available, houses vary in Del Sur, allowing each family to definitely find a suitable house catered to their needs. Ranging from quaint cottage-houses to large up-scale bungalows, the price points of each property also falls on a spectrum. For families on a tighter budget, they can check out the Garretson neighborhood with townhouses from as low as $500,000. As for growing and larger families, the houses in Kensington and The Estates provide more living space of about 4,912 to 6,901 square feet, though a bigger space comes with a bigger price tag. What most of these neighborhoods have in common is the intentional village-like setting that development plans were trying to create, to facilitate more interaction and bonding between residents.
Food and Entertainment
The town itself, as well as the bigger Black Mountain Ranch area, are still currently undergoing construction but the master plan includes a town center with shops, diners, and other services. What you can find there now, however, is a huge Target store that has a CVS Pharmacy inside, meeting your basic needs of food and medication.
The nearest shopping centers that are frequented by most residents are situated in the 4S Ranch, where it homes to a variety of shops like Ralph’s, Jimbo’s, Cost Plus World Market, Bath and Beyond and many other local and international brands. There are also other services there like banks, salons, and health care providers. Moreover, the rows of restaurants and diners bring a diversity of different tastes for different palettes. Such restaurants include Napizza, Jamba Juice, Baskin Robbins, Wendy’s, Pei Wei Asian Diner and many other places serving up mouthwatering dishes.
Over at the 4S Ranch Village Center, you will find other shops and services providing your basic essentials like a post office, a veterinarian, a gas station, SUBWAY, Sushi on the Rock, Sweet Things Frozen Yoghurt and many more. Del Sur is equipped with so many amenities and services and there’s nothing that you cannot find here!
Parks and Recreational Spaces
Community activities center in at The Ranch House where events are organized for the residents to come together and mingle with the rest. Some of these bonding activities include a holiday lights contest and the 4th of July parade. Other activities involve art and craft sessions, sports competitions and other games planned for students who are part of the Del Sur Elementary School Extended Student Services program.
After the development plans are completed, Del Sur will have a total of 13 parks for residents to visit, of which only 9 are open. At Bellaire Park, there are lots of green spaces for families to enjoy picnics, solar-heated swimming pools for children and adults to swim in (or flap around in), and a bocce ball court for public use. Over at Kristin Glen Park, there is a solar-heated lap pool, a hot tub, and a glass and stone labyrinth for people to enjoy, They playground at Haaland Glen Park is catered to families with children, while the iconic dog park located in Old Stonefield Park creates a great place for your pooches to exercise and run as they please. It also features a garden and a wildflower meadow that are absolutely breathtaking.
Furthermore, families can take a drive to numerous country clubs and equestrian centers for adults to indulge in their favorite hobbies. The Santaluz Club, The Crosby National Golf Club is the more prominent country clubs, while nearby equestrian centers including KDB Training Stables, Fairbanks Riding Club and many others.
